APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #13-0048 FOR SPORTING AND ATHLETIC GOODS - WAREHOUSE
Description
Bids to provide 'Sporting and Athletic Goods - Warehouse' were received from ten vendors on June 21, 2012. The bids of BSN Sports/Passon's Sports/US Games, Cannon Sports, Inc., Gregg United Sports, Inc., NASCO, Pyramid School Products, S&S Worldwide, Inc., School Specialty, Inc., and Soccer Line Sporting Goods were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budgets of the schools.
Recommendation
That the bids of BSN Sports/Passon's Sports/US Games, Cannon Sports, Inc., Gregg United Sports, Inc., NASCO, Pyramid School Products, S&S Worldwide, Inc., School Specialty, Inc., and Soccer Line Sporting Goods, to provide 'Sporting and Athletic Goods - Warehouse' in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00, be approved as presented.
